Meet the Board

Robert Chartener OBE - President

Robert Chartener has served as chairman, CEO, or CFO of several companies in the business services and consumer products sectors. He is chairman of Human Touch LLC, the leading US provider of massage chairs and other innovative wellness products and experiences. Until recently, he was CEO of Foundation Source, the nation’s largest provider of comprehensive services for private foundations. He was previously in private equity as a co-founder of Winslow Partners, based in Washington, D.C. and Prague, and as a managing partner of an investment fund affiliated with J. H. Whitney & Co.  From 1985 to 1995, he worked for Goldman, Sachs & Co. in London and New York. 

Robert currently serves on several for-profit and non-profit boards, including The Hotchkiss School, Cardigan Mountain School, The Magdalene College Foundation, and The Whitehead Foundation, and he is on the finance committee of Washington National Cathedral.  He is a fellow commoner of Magdalene College, Cambridge, and a member of the Council on Foreign Relations.

He holds an A.B. from Princeton University, an M.Phil. from Cambridge University, and an M.B.A. from Harvard University, where he was a Baker Scholar.


Donald MacNeal - Vice President

Don MacNeal is a retired Ernst & Young senior partner with 40 years of accounting, finance, regulatory, valuation, risk management and governance experience. Don served as a member EY’s Global Hedge Fund Steering Committee, where he was responsible for helping to establish EY’s strategy and market plan across the Americas, Europe and Asia regions.  As leader of the Hedge Fund Audit practice within the US market, Don’s responsibilities including setting the strategic direction, inclusive of marketing, quality initiatives, risk management oversight, operations and personnel management, for a leading business that encompasses over 40% of the US hedge fund market share and includes 500+ professionals across 12 US offices.  Don was also responsible for leading the structuring and development of EY’s Global Talent Hub (in Bangalore India, where he determined the business model and oversaw all P&L, inclusive of technology, security and privacy, resource management, quality measures and talent leadership structure.

Don serves as Global Board member and Treasurer of Help For Children/Hedge Fund Cares, and previously served as President and Board Member of Rumson-Fair Haven High School’s Board of Education.

Don received his BSBA in Accounting from Georgetown University.


Jeremy Evans - Director

Jeremy Evans is Senior Partner of Redburn (Europe) Limited, the parent company of Redburn (USA) LLC. Previously, Jeremy was Head of UK and European Equities at Flemings. Following the acquisition of Flemings by JP Morgan Chase in 2000, Jeremy was appointed Managing Director of JP Morgan and Joint Chief Executive of Robert Fleming & Co.

In addition to serving as a Board Member of the Egmont US Foundation, Jeremy is Chairman and one of the founding Trustees of the Egmont Trust in the UK, serving in various capacities since 2005. 

Jeremy is a graduate of Cambridge University.
